Install it between ceiling joists, using headers to create a framework. Be sure the finishing plate is flush with the underside of the ceiling and the assembly it's level. Nail or screw the ceiling support to your framing. Use 2" nails or screws, not included. The ceiling support can hold up to 50' of chimney.
